Employer Branding for Notting Hill Housing

How do you compete for the best talent in the market? Make yourself an attractive employer of course.

People are the lifeblood of most businesses. Ensuring you attract and retain the best people is a competitive pursuit. Good people have a choice after all.

Recruitment and retention

Notting Hill Housing is an innovative and forward thinking RSL that understands how important ‘stand out’ is when trying to attract the attention of talented recruits. They asked us to develop their employer brand to do just that.

Nice people to do business with

The task is made that much easier when the business is genuinely innovative, honest and authentic. Our key insight was that NH has excellent internal communications and staff generate ideas and get stuff done with little fuss and plenty of warmth. This makes for a happy and productive workforce and a great place to work.

Love where you work

So we absorbed the Notting Hill ethos of ‘Love where you live’ and made ‘Love where you work’ more accurately reflect the organisation within and without.

DIY implementation

Our aim was to create a lo-fi toolkit of brand assets that NH staff could pick up and run with and assemble in their own way. We commissioned a set of illustrations from Billie Jean that picked up on the warmth and can do of the staff culture, and we developed a new tone of voice for use across all literature and recruitment advertising.

Working closely with the client team, we have also ensured they are comfortable using the toolkit by running workshops and handing over a brand guide.
