World Book Day Campaign Materials

Running a successful initiative over five years.

Reading for pleasure

World Book Day is a national initiative celebrating the pleasures of reading. Launched in 1998 it has become the biggest book event in the UK with thousands of book and author events in schools, libraries and bookshops.

Collaboration

Working with the Publishers Council, the Booksellers Association and our friends at Colman Getty we were involved with World Book Day from the beginning and created all campaign materials for the first five years.

Delivered on time

It wasn’t always easy but it was always fun. Creating campaigns that reached out to every child in the country through book shops, libraries and schools. The logistics of producing materials in huge quantities were exacting but we managed it every time. Even providing more than 14 million book tokens, one for every child in the country.

Small part

We’re pleased that World Book Day has, in the hands of Colman Getty, gone from strength to strength and that we played our part in establishing it in the public’s mind.
