Interior for a public information centre

Late availability

The building only became available at the last minute. The architects were briefed to make it habitable for the duration of the consultation and we were brought on board to ensure the brand vision was evident, and the content spot on.

Record time

The fit out, design and installation was completed in just a few days. As Norman Haste, then Chief Executive of Crossrail, arrived to open the venue we swept away the last debris and tidied up. The information centre opened its doors to a curious public and well briefed staff handled queries with informed aplomb.

Accessible and inclusive

Information graphics were supported by a suit of literature at varying levels of detail some produced in 17 language versions.

Anticipating great things

The architects at Hawkins Brown did a fine job of turning this near derelict former hair dressers in Farringdon into an environment that oozed sophistication. We like to think that the large scale images we installed onto their structure really set Crossrail up as something to look ahead to.

Job done

The centre was used to launch the public consultation round and ran for four months handling thousands of enquiries. Helping build support for Crossrail as a vision for London.
