Our task was to produce a contemporary poster that reflected Rodin's influence but that used the recognition factor of his best known work.
Sculptural traditions
Born François-Auguste-René Rodin, to a working class family in Paris, Rodin is often given a pivotal role in the history of modern sculpture, as both excelling at and rebelling against the Beaux-arts tradition.
Herald of the modern age
His achievement is celebrated in this major retrospective at the Royal Academy of Arts. Organised like a journey, ten chronological themes explore Rodin's inspiration, from his studies of unposed models to his love of antiquities.
