Carbon Trust Interactive Guides Design
Creating interactive guides for the Carbon Trust Northern Ireland office.
As a Carbon Trust design and print roster agency, UXB were asked to design 12 interactive publications for the Northern Ireland office. This was to involve following an established style as well as adhering to brand and publications guidelines. Our task was to complete the design of guides for which some initial layout work had been done by another roster agency.
The first phase of the design process was discovering the way interactive PDFs had been put together by the other agency. This was essential to understanding the limitations and possibilities of the format. Working with the copy and images supplied by Carbon Trust we developed a clean and accessible design, that followed a logical structure and an established style and that was robust.
We were briefed by the Publications Manager but our working relationship through the project was with the Northern Ireland office. We were able to provide continuity of service to Carbon Trust as the project developed over several months and as personnel changed. All guides came within agreed budget and timeframes.
The client at Carbon Trust's Northern Ireland office were very happy with the guides and UXB increased the speed, skill and capacity for creating these publications for Carbon Trust.
