China Live! Design and Branding

Partnering with cultural organisations to promote challenging art.

International

The Live Art Development Agency (LADA) organised China Live! - a collaboration between LADA, Live Art UK, Chinese Arts Centre and Shu Yang of the DaDao Live Art Festival, Beijing - to showcase the most exciting and thought provoking Chinese artists to audiences in the UK.

Extensive

China Live consisted of a UK wide touring programme of live performances and film screenings by Chinese artists and a symposium held at the V&A.

Bilingual

UXB were commissioned to design and produce the bilingual publication about contemporary Chinese performance that accompanied the programme.

In addition to this 160-page publication, typeset in both English and Mandarin, we also developed a marque and marketing material to support the project.

It sounds really interesting but I may miss it partly because I need a rest but also because I get nervous when words like ‘visceral’ and ‘using his own blood’ are used !
