Goldsmiths University Goldlink Magazine Design

Alumni magazine for world renowned university

In time

Universities know that keeping in touch with former students means good business. Capitalising on the curious bond forged during their formative years is a hot ticket to future income for a whole host of potential initiatives.

In come

It's not all cynical stuff, of course. Contributions from alumni fund all sorts of good things such as scholarships and hardship funds. And besides, most graduates want to know what's what in the place that probably changed their lives.

In tune

Goldsmiths alumni are a pretty switched on bunch. So a magazine that keeps them connected to their Alma Mater needs to be pretty savvy too.

In touch

Goldlink is the alumni magazine that keeps the college and former students connected. And thanks to our wide ranging influence on its re-design, is now in tune with its diverse and quirky bunch readership.

In house

We changed the look, we changed the copy style introducing new headlines and teasers that inform the skim reader. We've changed to recycled paper and provided templates for in house production with clear instructions on how to artwork for the new stock. We've introduced new photography and lifted the whole publication.

In to

Goldsmiths prides itself on the uniqueness of the experience it offers learners and the unexpected qualities of its students. It's alumni include some of the most influential artists, writers and cultural cognoscenti. It even boasts an editor of OK!

In front

These are people who are plugged into the world around them and, on the whole, are helping to shape it too. Goldlink will keep the connected to Goldmsiths - and be a reminder of the part the college played in making them who they are.
