Housing Corporation Gold Awards 2008 Design and Advertising

The Housing Corporation’s Gold Awards 2008 featured three themes; Building Cohesive Communities, Delivering Joined-up Development and Tackling Worklessness.

Three under one roof

As well as being responsible for regulating all the housing associations in England, the Housing Corporation is tasked with identifying and sharing best practice in the social housing sector.

Building Cohesive Communities

The Gold Awards are the means by which excellence is identified and knowledge spread. Each year the focus is on areas of work relevant to the sector at that time. For 2008 three themes were picked and part of our job was to make housing associations aware of them and to attract applications.

Delivering Joined-up Development

Building on the redesign we carried out two years previously, the 2008 awards continued to shine brightly and attract high quality entries. We designed more elements than ever before as the awards expanded from two themes to three and changed to meet comments made by housing associations.

Tackling Worklessness

We designed adverts for Inside Housing and Roof magazines, shortlist and winners guides, a CD toolkit for applicants plus the ‘Walk of Excellence’ exhibition stand.

Nine gold stars

The 72 entries were whittled down to 9 winners across the three themes, making 2008 another golden year.
