Mind 'n' Seek Online Game Development

Using the viral power of the web to help young people with mental health issues.

Difficult issue

The facts speak for themselves: one in four people experience some form of mental health problem during their life. Unfortunately, many people, especially young people, find talking about the issue a problem in itself.

Subtle suggestion

While helping the Department of Health to raise awareness of mental health issues, we suggested that one way of engaging young people would be through invisible learning. In essence, it meant the creation of an online game, where users have to seek out information about mental health, and learn how to recognise the symptoms in their mates’ and their own lives.

Fun time

The results speak for themselves: with average user sessions of nearly half an hour, the barriers to ignorance have been broken down.
