Kogan Page Website Planning and Design

We helped this leading business and academic publisher to re-imagine itself for the digital age.

If you're a non-fiction publisher with a strong back catalogue of IP, then the internet is made for you. Just imagine the new ways to distribute that content and rethink your future.

Change of direction

Kogan Page is part of the publishing establishment but has recently handed the reins to a new generation. Under the stewardship of a new CEO, the business is adapting to the internet and reinventing itself online.

Of course it will still publish books, but its highly valued content can now find new audiences through the many channels into a vast market.

Being user centred

We helped them see things from users' perspective, before developing a user experience to engage new readers and build a business for the future. Our consultative approach helped them to rethink the importance of products and authors and balance the emphasis of the website accordingly.

Our work involved designing the site information architecture, developing wireframes to organise content and creating the visual design. We then passed development work to Kogan Page's development partner for integration with back end distribution systems.

I really appreciate everything you did for us ... During the later periods of the development we really appreciated the strength of the design - this has really done wonders not just for the website branding but has also helped to consolidate a visual brand ethic for the whole business.
